What do I want to accomplish in creating a poster? How do I want to interest others in my topic? Do I want to present an informative poster that can be used as a reference? Do I want to present a warning poster that alerts people to danger? Or some combination of those goals? Yes. I want to make a colourful poster that will appeal to young kids that educate them on how to be safe on online chat rooms like club penguin What do I need in order to do this? What materials do I have? What resources do I need? Should I do more research on cybersafety?
Who will be looking at this work? How can I appeal to other students? Colourful, interesting posters appeal to kids. Are there examples of cybersafety posters or materials that I can look at? I can find examples on share point and my teacher can show me some What are the obstacles? What problems may happen? I could lose all my files and work if my computer goes kaput Can I draw a diagram that will help me to visualise my work? Draw some rough ideas for posters. Yes it is easier for me to make a poster if i have made a draft copy first

What is my plan? What are the steps to follow? To draft my poster and start doing the real thing. First before i start the real thing I will take my photos and plan my text How will I keep track of my progress? What are my milestones? I will keep track of my progress by keeping my poster updated and checking it. One of the milestones will be i have imported pictures. Another is finished all my text. Possible list of steps: ·Research and gather material about my subject. ·Revise material and compose text for poster. ·Create graphics. ·Take pictures. Edit pictures. ·Assemble text and images into poster. ·Review poster and modify as needed.

How has my thinking changed as a result of this work? Sometimes the finishing touches can be very important. What skills have I learned and developed? I have learned how to use Gimp on the computer. Can these skills be applied to other subjects/activities? Yes, I can use it with other assignments.
What problems did I have to solve? Were there obstacles in developing ideas, researching material, or presenting the material? How were they overcome? One of the problems I had was that I had a cartoon from Google images, and then I was told we weren’t allowed to use any Google images, and so I had to create my own cartoon character.I photographed this cartoon along with the picture of a girl on the computer (my sister), and usedGimp to make them part of the poster.
How did I use the strengths of others to help me? I talked through with my Dad what I was doing, and that helped me – I didn’t get stuck with a problem.
